And you are not likely too for some time. Canon changed how they compile their firmware on the latest camera models and it is no longer compatible with CHDK as it exist today. Maybe someone will take on the project of porting it, but it will take someone who knows what they are doing and has access to the phone.

Interesting. There's a CHDK build for the PowerShot G15, I thought the G16 used the basically the same hardware, but just added WiFi.

Not quite - the G15 was released on Sept 17, 2012, while the G16 was released on Aug 22, 2013 (11 months later). A lot happens in eleven months.

And FWIW, two camera with the same model number might have different firmware versions and need different CHDK versions. Cameras with different model numbers are never CHDK compatible.
